Architecture Schools

Students in architecture learn the creative and technical skills necessary to plan, design, and build residential and commercial spaces.

Who designed the Empire State Building? An architect, that’s who! Architects take are required to listen to the client’s desires and present effective, well-thought-out design solutions that are not only beautiful but also functional. Architects do the research, planning, and development that is required take two dimensional drawings and turn them into physical structures. In collaboration with structural engineers and contractors, architects have a responsibility to design buildings that are safe for the inhabitants.

Students in architecture programs are exposed to all aspects of the architectural process, from the initial idea, to the building codes and permits, to the actual construction and installation. Students will learn industry-approved software as well as traditional drafting techniques, and will be challenged to find their own unique design style.
